Top PickCuvee Bistro (Basalt)

One of my all time favorite restaurants in the Roaring Fork Valley.  You’ve got to try the BBQ salmon salad…it’s out of this world!  Everything tastes great at this Basalt restaurant.

Phat Thai (Carbondale)

The atmosphere alone makes a visit to Carbondale worthwhile, but the food is even better.  Some of the best thai food around.  Love the coconut pumpkin soup and the Nonya shrimp and pineapple curry.  Don’t forget to try the specialty cocktails. There’s a DJ on Friday nights after 9 pm (younger crowd).

Riverside Grill (Basalt)

A Basalt tradition, the Riverside Grill is best known for its setting by the river.  You really can’t find a better place to experience the Frying Pan River unless you’re fly fishing.  The cheeseburgers here never disappoint…simple, quick and cheap.

Tempranillo (Basalt)

If you want a delicious (but a bit pricey) meal, you’ll enjoy the food and spanish wines at Tempranillo.  They also have a community table as well as a great bar for solo diners.

Six 89 (Carbondale)

Six 89 has been around for over a decade now, and it’s still a local favorite.  It has a casual feel, simple decor with a neighborhood feel.  Good food and wines, and a community table solo diners who want to remain that way or meet new friends.

Russets (Carbondale)

A neighborhood favorite, Russets has been delivering great service and exceptional food to residents of Carbondale and beyond for years. They have a great bar area and a nice side patio for those perfect summer evenings in Colorado.  They use only the freshest ingredients. Certified angus beef has no anti-biotics or hormones.  Gluten free options too.  Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence in 2010!  Love it.
