Top PickWheeler Opera House

First of all — this historical place (built in 1888) is a beautifully restored, architectural masterpiece.  That aside, they have some of the best performances, films, comedy acts, etc. in town.  You gotta catch a show here (afterwards, head on down to Bentley’s).

Aspen Community Theatre (A.C.T.)

If you’re into performing arts, put the Aspen Community Theatre on your list.  They produce an annual fall musical and sometimes a spring  production.  Another bonus?  The cast and crew are all volunteers

Theatre Aspen

One of the best regional theatres around, you’ll love the venue at Rio Grande Park just as much as the great Broadway-calibre performances.  Consider taking an acting class.

Isis Theatre (movies)

Next to the fire station, this movie theatre is really the only place to go in town, but that’s not why it’s a top pick.  It’s newly remodeled, has incredible surround sound, and they’ll even sell you a glass of wine or a beer!

Bow Tie Movieland (El Jebel)

Located mid-valley near City Market, this movie theatre offers a wider selection of new releases in town.
